Pinn
Report a hazard
Privacy policy

We keep it simple.

Last updated: July 2026

Pinn collects only what it needs to operate a road hazard reporting service. We do not sell your data. We do not track you across the web.

What we collect

When you submit a hazard report, we collect the location of the hazard (GPS coordinates or a map pin), a description or photo, and optionally a voice note. We do not require your name.

If you report via WhatsApp, your phone number is associated with your report so we can notify you when the hazard is resolved. You can request deletion at any time.

If you create a reporter account, we store your phone number and the reports you have submitted.

How we use it

Hazard reports are displayed on the public map so other road users can see and avoid them.

Verified reports are forwarded to the relevant authority — Ghana Highway Authority, DVLA, district assemblies, or NRSA — depending on the road type and location.

We use report data in aggregate to generate corridor risk scores and hazard statistics. No individual reporter is identified in data shared with partners.

Who we share it with

Government authorities (GHA, DVLA, district assemblies, NRSA) receive hazard details including location, hazard type, severity, and any supporting media. They do not receive your personal details.

Business partners who subscribe to the Pinn data feed receive anonymised hazard data. They do not receive reporter identities.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.

How long we keep it

Hazard reports remain on the map until they are resolved or dismissed. Historical reports are retained in our database for trend analysis.

If you ask us to delete your account and associated reports, we will do so within 14 days. Email hello@pinnghana.com to request deletion.

Your rights

You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@pinnghana.com.

If you reported via WhatsApp and want your phone number removed from our system, message us directly and we will remove it within 48 hours.
